From MAHG to NHL

Today was the last Saturday the boys had hockey for the season. I'm a little sad that it's over, but it will be nice to be able to sleep in on the weekend.

Tom and Jim on the ice in Shawville

Speaking of hockey, a few weeks ago, we were invited to a Family Skate for the Ottawa Food Bank at Scotiabank Place. It was pretty awesome to see the kids on such big ice and in such a big arena. We all enjoyed the night.

After the kids were finished, the dads got a chance to play. They looked to be as excited as the kids were.

I Love my Kindle

So, I've always loved to read, and last year when I splurged and bought myself a Kindle, I was determined to "make it pay for itself". It has. I've read over 50 books in 9 months, and stuff I never would have glanced at before, too. I've read a ton of Canadian stuff as well as some biographies. Who knew Patrick Swayze was that interesting? My Kindle came with us to Cuba, the cottage, the bathtub and it lives on my nightstand. I love my Kindle!
